Ms.Spring Yang

ErHu, Gu-Zheng

Ms.Spring Yang graduated from the Sichuan Music Conservatory and majored in Erhu performance and received a minor in Gu-Zheng performance. Ms. Spring Yang is the founder of Spring Music School, and has been teaching in the Atlanta area for more than 20 years. She has performed all throughout Georgia yearly, ranging from The University of Georgia, Georgia State University, Georgia Tech University, High Museum of Arts, Georgia Gwinnett College, Botanical Gardens, Woodruff Arts Center, and many more. She received a scholarship from the Willson Center for Humanities and Arts to teach the University of Georgia's Chinese Music Ensemble.

Vicki Lu

Vicki Lu is currently a Ph.D. student at the University of Georgia studying Ethnomusicology with an emphasis in Chinese music and performance. She holds her bachelor's and master's from the same university and has a degree in Music Education, Flute Performance, and Chinese Language and Literature minor. Currently, she is the director of the first Chinese Music Ensemble at the University of Georgia and Spring Music School. (Previously assisting in the Emory University Chinese Music Ensemble.) She has been playing the Gu-Zheng since she was 5 years old from many professional Guzheng musicians. She started the Western flute at age 7 and became the first prize winner of the Junior artist of the Atlanta Flute Club. Recently, she received Gold in the Advanced Solo Division for Guzheng performance in the 3rd Nanyang International Music Competition (Chinese Division). In addition, she made Allstate throughout her middle school and high school career. Vicki continues to learn Chinese instruments like the Dizi, Hulusi, Yangqin, and Pipa. She continues to perform all throughout Atlanta with Ms. Spring Yang, from the Braves Stadium, Apple Commercials, ABC shows, and many Universities all throughout Georgia. Vicki gives yearly masterclasses at Lovett Private School, Georgia State University. Vicki is now the assistant of the Spring Music School Ensemble, and travels with them all around Georgia to spread awareness of Chinese culture!

Li ErDong

Erdong Li is a very active virtuoso guitarist. He started playing guitar when he was 11 years old. He finished his Bachelor degree in the Central Conservatory of Music in China, and got his artist diploma and master degree in the Columbus State University with Dr.Andrew Zohn in the America. Erdong has gotten several prize in many international and national competitions. He took second prize in the youth group of Seoul International Guitar Festival, and 2nd place in division 1 of the Troy University Guitar Festival, 3rd place in division 1 of the Southern Guitar Competition. And He was in the final round of the CSU concerto competition. Also he is playing in the W.E. Duo with the virtuoso violinist Weiru Sheng. They took the 1st prize in the ensemble division of the Southern Guitar Festival. And they have been touring in China during the summer. The W.E. Duo had 14 concerts in the summer of 2017 and 6 concerts in 2018 in China. Most of their concert in China are sold out. They also had many concerts in the US. During Erdong’s guitar study, he has took master class with numerous world class artist, such as David Russell, Solo Duo, Stephen Goss, Giampaolo Bandini and so on. Erdong was also teaching the guitar group class for the music therapy department in the Central Conservatory of Music in China. And he is teaching in the Preparatory Division of the Schwob School of Music.
